Cross-country Skiing
For those wanting to enjoy the snow season in a more tranquil way skiing through the snow covered trees, come stay with us at Barefoot Villas.
At Christina Lake, individuals and groups cross-country ski or snow shoeing on many sections of the Trans-Canada Trail, plus the trails in the Community Park along the western shore of the lake.
Christina Lake Golf Club
The Christina Lake Golf Club and the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary have come to a mutual understanding, permitting the general public to engage in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and walking on the upper (front) nine of the Christina Lake Golf Course during the winter season. The public is kindly requested to adhere to the currently designated route marked by red flagging tape in the trees and refrain from venturing onto tee boxes, greens, and bunkers. The possibility of establishing cross-country skiing tracks in the future is contingent upon weather conditions. Parking is exclusively available at street level; parking in the clubhouse parking lot is strictly prohibited, as the gates may close unpredictably, potentially trapping vehicles inside.
